How do I delete my family site on MyHeritage?
Warning: Deleting your family site will lead to an unrecoverable loss of your data!
Deleting an online site will destroy all the content in it, including family trees and photos. It will not delete data that is on your computer, such as Family Tree Builder projects.
If you wish to delete your family site on MyHeritage, follow the instructions below:
First, visit your family site. You can do that either by clicking the “My Sites” or “My Family” links. You can only delete a site when you are successfully logged in as the site manager of that site.
In the family site, click on the ‘Settings’ tab, then click on ‘General’ and go to the ‘Administration’ tab. There you will see the ‘Delete your family site’ option.
Please note: If, as the site manager of a family site, you have been asked by your site members to remove the family tree due to privacy issues, you can just make the tree private, and leave it on your family site. To do so, please see:
