Can I convert my Family Tree Builder tree to one that can be edited online?

Family Tree Builder trees are currently not editable on your family site. Family Tree Builder trees are published to a family site so they can be viewed by your family members, but all editing occurs in Family Tree Builder and not on your family site.

If you would like to have a family tree you can edit online, do the following:

- Open your family tree in Family Tree Builder.

- Go to File > Export GEDCOM.

- If you’ve got any photos attached to your tree project, the program will suggest you to create a sub-folder and export the photos into it.
Remember the place, where this folder is created and saved on your computer.

- Now go to your family site.

- Click on Family Tree > Import GEDCOM.

- Browse your computer to find the GEDCOM you just created.

- Click upload.

- For attaching the photos back to your family tree project, you have to manually upload the saved photos folder from your computer, through the Photos & Videos page and add them to your online family tree project.

Now you have a family tree that you can work on online.
